Abstract

As part of a series of papers on implementing guideline recommendations in the context of preventive health care, 2 of our previous papers discussed communicating harms and benefits, and shared decision making (SDM).[1][1],[2][2] In the latter paper we met John, a 66-year-old smoker, who at his most
