Smart grids and net metering for photovoltaic systems

Abstract

Nowadays, there exist different reasons why renewable sources are becoming more and more popular. The rising price of the fossil fuels and serious environmental pollution around the world motivate people to focus on renewable energy sources. These renewable sources represent an inexhaustible energy potential for the future. The importance of the solar energy as a renewable energy resource is growing and represents an important achievement. This paper deals with Smart grids and net metering for photovoltaic systems in Slovenia.
