Abstract

We introduce a gas-liquid two-phase flow meter which combines a capacitive sensor and a Venturi tube. Gas volumetric flow rate is estimated by cross-correlating signals of the capacitive sensor and the liquid volumetric flow rate is obtained by an arithmetic approach combining data of Venturi and of the capacitive sensor. The system was tested in a horizontal air-water flow loop and results were compared with reference measures showing good agreement.
