Abstract Dimilin 2F was evaluated as a chemical stressor for the fungal pathogen, Beauveria bassiana, in simulated aerial sprays of laboratoryreared fourth instar grasshoppers. Dimilin is normally applied at the recommended rate of 0.015625 lb Al/acre forrangeland grasshopper control. In this study we used rates of onetenth or less of the recommended rate. A tower apparatus utilizing an airbrush was used to apply the candidate sprays. All of the treatments were applied at 1 gal/acre equivalent in oil and replicated 5 times. Conidia and formulation materials were provided by Mycotech Corporation. Annual ryegrass in pot
