The solution of the Piltdown problem

Abstract

Examination of the Piltdown specimens with evidence from artificial abrasion of the teeth, fluorine dating, nitrogen analysis, and coloring of the specimens indicate that the Piltdown excavators were the victims of an elaborate and carefully prepared hoax.
