A novel Ag-NPs decorated on hexagonal-like PbCO<sub>3</sub> was constructed with a novel heterometallic compound (AgPb(C<sub>2</sub>O<sub>4</sub>)(NO<sub>3</sub>)) through thermal heating at 523 K.
