Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) is a clinico-radiographic syndrome of varying causes and is associated with characteristic neuroimaging findings. Many reports of PRES are associated with hypertension and the use of certain drugs. However, the relationship between kidney disease and PRES, given that most renal patients have the aforesaid risk factors, remains ill defined. We attempt here to share our experience with PRES in 4 different circumstances.
