These findings suggest that preferences for care setting among IAV with PTSD have less influence on care utilization than actual access factors such as household income and service connection. Given that nearly a quarter of respondents indicated receiving as least some PTSD care in community settings, working toward seamless VA/non-VA care coordination remains an important goal for ensuring high-quality care.
