Climate change makes global warming and have impact on local environment. Different with commonly used global climate model (GCM), actual recorded data are used to generate weather files and compared with typical weather data. The analysis results show that temperature indeed rises in recent years and the cooling degree day (CDD26) is about twice as that of typical year data. In order to have an insight into the impact of climate change on energy consumption, model of an office building in Shanghai is built up and simulated with different weather files by Designbuilder. The simulation results show that the warm weather makes minor impact on building cooling load. The total cooling energy consumption of new weather files shows no significant increase or decrease trend compared to that of typical year weather data.
