One-dimensional (1D) rod-like BiOBr with exposed (110) facets was synthesized using glucose as a capping agent and structure-directing agent. The BiOBr with exposed (110) facets exhibits outstanding photocatalytic activity for degrading MO dyes at high concentrations under solar light irradiation.
