A fast waveguide port parameter extraction technique for the discontinuous Galerkin time-domain method is described and investigated for the simulation of waveguide-fed devices. Auxiliary differential equations are employed to handle the convolutions involved in the wave port boundary condition, which results in a significant decrease of the computing cost for implementing the boundary condition at a waveguide port. The accuracy and efficiency of the proposed algorithm are verified by numerical experiments.
