An autonomous DC microgrid system with triple-active bridge (TAB) converters as power-routing units has been proposed. To investigate the next-generation smart grid in which each port has loads, batteries, or energy resources and multiple TAB converters connect to each other, it is necessary to construct a computer simulation model of a TAB converter using a typical power electronics simulator. In this paper, we develop such a computer simulation model equivalent to a prototype TAB converter that is rated at 400 V, 10 kW, and 20 kHz. The computer simulation model will be useful for dynamic performance analysis and control design of TAB converter applications.
