Post-synthetic diversification of pyrrole-fused benzosultams via trans-sulfonylations and reactions on the periphery of pyrrole

Abstract

The synthesis of pyrrole fused benzosultams and their <italic>trans</italic>-sulfonylation reactions providing workable access to (NH)-2-arylpyrroles containing <italic>ortho</italic>-sulfonamide functionality and fluorene tethered pyrrole fused benzosultam has been described.
