"Basic Nuclear Engineering." Nuclear Technology, 38(3), pp. 445–446 Additional informationNotes on contributorsBarry D. GanapolBarry D. Ganapol (BS, mechanical engineering, University of California at Berkeley; MS, nuclear engineering, Columbia University; PhD, engineering science, University of California at Berkeley) is currently a temporary visiting assistant professor in the Department of Nuclear Engineering at the University of Arizona until the end of the 1977-1978 academic year. His teaching responsibilities include nuclear reactor theory, reactor safety, as well as particle transport theory and numerical methods. Before spending two years at Argonne National Laboratory in the Reactor Analysis and Safety Division, he worked for national laboratories in Switzerland (Swiss Institute for Reactor Research) and France (Center for Nuclear Studies at Saclay), where his interests were in biomedical research and reactor theory. He has a lovely wife and plays a mean guitar.
