Abstract

CPC benefited all sociodemographic groups to a similar extent, with greater knowledge transfer in patients with higher numeracy and greater physician trust in patients with "low" health literacy. Tailoring SDM interventions to patient characteristics may be necessary for optimal effectiveness.
