Thiophene–pyrrole containing S,N-heteroheptacenes: synthesis, and optical and electrochemical characterisation

Abstract

Novel <italic>S</italic>,<italic>N</italic>-heteroheptacenes <bold>SN7a–d</bold> with a variable thiophene–pyrrole ratio and a heteroring fusion sequence were synthesized and the electronic properties were characterized.
