Shortcuts to adiabaticity in a strongly coupled system are experimentally demonstrated with a three-dimensional unitary Fermi gas confined by a time-dependent anisotropic trap. This study shows the possibility of controlling quantum matter at strong coupling and far away from equilibrium.
