Neuroprotective effects of gypenosides in experimental autoimmune optic neuritis

Abstract

Treatment with gypenosides exerts protective effects on retinal nerve fibers and axons in EAON. When combined with gypenosides, methylprednisolone reduces demyelination in the acute stage of EAON.
