Screening of conventional anticonvulsants in a genetic mouse model of epilepsy

Abstract

Genetic models of spontaneous epilepsy provide alternative screening platforms and may augment the AED development process. In this study, we established an effective screening platform that pharmacologically validated <i>Scn1a</i>^<i>+/-</i> mice for preclinical screening of potential Dravet syndrome therapeutics.
