ABSTRACT Distributional data of anostracan crustaceans in temporary rainpools of Israel are based on collections made during 1968–1975, from Mt. Hermon in the north to Northern Sinai in the south. Five species were found: Branchinecta ferox, Branchipus schaefferi, Streptocephalus torvicornis, Chirocephalus bairdi, Chirocephalus neumanni. The distribution patterns within Israel and the zoogeographical relationship of each species are briefly discussed.
