A catalogue of the scorpions described from the Ethiopian Faunal Region up to December 1973

Abstract

An annotated, alphabetical list is given of all the scorpion taxa descriptionbed or recorded from the Ethiopian Faunal Region, namely sub-Saharan Africa and adjacent islands, up to December 1973. Currently recognized synonyms and all published, specimen, locality and repository records are included for each taxon. A gazetteer of the more important disused geographical names with their present equivalents is provided. Opisthophthalmus pilosus Werner, 1936, non C L. Koch, 1838 = Opisthophthalmus werneri Lamoral, nom. nov.
