Ultrasonics and Its Industrial Applications

Abstract

In his introduction the author draws attention to the many branches of science and industry which make use, in one way or another, of ultrasonic wave propagation ; a table lists some of these applications and gives an indication of the frequencies used and of the ultrasonic power required for them. There is so much literature dealing with the basic principles involved and with the applications of ultrasonic testing that it is clearly impossible for the author to give a detailed account of both.
