Abstract

Abstract A 170km long NNE-SSW lineament, extending from the Khetri Copper Belt to the Dudu-Kishangarh sector, is characterised by intrusives of albitite, composed predominantly of aventurine albite. Textural evidences suggest that the albitites, magnetite-albitites and pyroxenites, occurring along the Albitite Line, represent different cumulate fractions derived from the same source magma. The fractures, which tapped the magma chamber are related to an intracontinental rift system.
