Abstract

In the present work, a highly efficient catalyst toward the reduction of hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ) was synthesized on account of reduced graphene oxide (rGO). The rGO were coated with ZnFe 2 O 4 and Pd nanoparticles (Pd/ZnFe 2 O 4 /rGO), which were used to modify a glassy carbon electrode to detect H 2 O 2 . The Pd/ZnFe 2 O 4 /rGO nanocomposites were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Cyclic voltammetry and amperometry measurements were used to characterize and optimize the property of as-prepared H 2 O 2 sensor. The proposed H 2 O 2 sensor displayed a wide linear range from 25 μM to 10.2 mM with an enhanced sensitivity of 621.64 μA mM –1 cm –2 .
