A revision of the genus Dictyosporium, with descriptions of three new species

Abstract

The genus Dictyosporium is reviewed, based on examination of type specimens as well as new collections from various localities. Three new species, D. giganticum, D. nigroapice and D. tetraseriale, are described. Twenty two species are accepted in the genus, and their conidial
\nmorphology is iilustrated. The characters of the accepted species are tabulated and a taxonomic
\nkey is provided. Short comments are given to 16 Dictyosporium names which are considered
\nunacceptable or doubtful.
