Abstract

In this manuscript, we have examined the behavior and the performance of selective decode-forward (DF) relaying protocol in conjunction with multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) and space-time-block-code (STBC) over Nakagami-m fading channels. We have done this analysis for single and multiple relays, considering channel estimation error. Closed-form expression for the symbol error rate (SER) and end-to-end pairwise error probability (PEP) has been derived and analyzed for both selective decode-forward C(0) protocol without relay selection and with relay selection. Also, symbol error rate performance of equal power allocation and optimal power allocation have been analyzed and compared to both cases. In our proposed scheme, we have achieved the full diversity order. Convex optimization method has been employed for finding optimal power factors. Simulation has been performed to validate the analytical results. Lastly, symbol error rate performance has been analyzed for the increasing number of the relay.
