A method is described for measuring the particle energy in an electron-positron storage ring by means of resonance depolarization by a high frequency field.The measurement accuracy is discussed taking into account energy spread and synchrotron oscillations.It is found that in practice the limitation in accuracy is due to the irregular pulsations of the magnetic guide field.As a result, the electron beam energy in the storage ring VEPP-2M has been measured with an accuracy of 210-5
