Abstract The asymmetric dearomatization and addition reaction of bromomethylnaphthalenes with aldehydes proceeded smoothly in the presence of carbazole‐based bisoxazoline CrCl 2 complex to give the corresponding enanioenriched hydroxylated dearomatization products. The excellent chemo‐, regio‐, diastereo‐ and enantioselecitivity are remarkable. Furthermore, hydrogenation of the product led to highly elaborated compound containing three contiguous stereogenic centers. magnified image
