Two new photochromic Cd-MOFs based on bipyridinium carboxylate ligands have been synthesized. Interestingly, <bold>1</bold> exhibits vapochromic properties for DEA, possessing rapid, low concentration selectivity and recyclable characteristics for detection of organic gas emissions.
