Abstract

Tetra- n -butylammonium (TBA) (η 6 -biphenyl)diphenylferrate was formed unexpectedly in the reaction of (TBA) 2 [Fe 4 S 4 Cl 4 ] with an excess of phenyllithium. This complex belongs to a novel type of organoferrate.
