A recyclable <bold>Ca-MOF</bold> that exchanges Ca<sup>2+</sup> by Cu<sup>2+</sup> almost quantitatively and quickly was investigated <italic>via</italic> batch ion-exchange experiments and utilized as a stationary phase in an ion-exchange column for Cu<sup>2+</sup> removal from aqueous media.
