Abstract

Cyanoacrylate adhesives have been available for many years. Until recently, they have been limited by their physical properties, and their popularity has been sporadic due to their incorrect and inappropriate use. A new medical-grade cyanoacrylate adhesive has been developed that has greater strength and flexibility than previous adhesives. This new formulated octylcyanoacrylate will broaden the indications for the use of cyanoacrylate adhesives and has the potential to revolutionize wound care.
