Sulfide and Sulfonyl Chloride as Sulfonylating Precursors for the Synthesis of Sulfone‐Containing Isoquinolinonediones

Abstract

Abstract An efficient method for the synthesis of sulfone‐containing isoquinolinonediones has been achieved via radical cascade addition/cyclization of acrylamide with sulfide or sulfonyl chloride under silver‐catalysis or visible light‐induced conditions. On the basis of this newly developed strategy, a wide range of isoquinolinonedione derivatives with a variety of functional groups can be effectively synthesized. magnified image
