Nuclear Magnetism: Order and Disorder

Abstract

This book could well have been subtitled 'Advanced topics in nuclear magnetism'. It does not duplicate previous books by the authors (Abragam's Principles of Nuclear Magnetism and Goldman's Spin Temperature and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance in So/ids) but rather concentrates on topics which have emerged, or acquired new significance, in the last decade or two: high-resolution NMR of solids, nuclear magnetism of solid and (superfluid) liquid 3He, dynamic polarisation, the 'nuclear pseudomagnetism' involved in neutron scattering and nuclear dipole magnetic ordering.
