Abstract

In the Taoist 'bible', Lao Tzu's Tao te ching, we read that 'he who pursues learning will increase every day, while he who pursues Tao will decrease'. Capra's thesis is that the world views of the modern physicist, developed by observation of external reality, and of the traditional eastern mystics, developed by internal observation (meditation), have very much in common.
