Abstract

So many textbooks appear to be written with the teacher in mind that it is a pleasure to find one that is clearly designed for students. All the features that will appeal to students are here: the short well-delineated sections are peppered with worked examples, together with a liberal supply of problems (no answers); the inside covers are used to summarise the basic equations of vector analysis; there are appendices on units and conversion factors.
