In schools, the combination of small classroom size, large ventilation air requirements, and a humid climate creates the potential for high indoor humidity and indoor air quality problems. To prevent these problems, while keeping energy use as low as possible, EPRI and Florida Power and Light teamed with Brevard County School District to demonstrate the effectiveness of a dual-path, low temperature air-distribution system used in conjunction with thermal energy storage (TES).
