Schalit in Enc.Jud.(10, col.254) states that Josephus married four times and that his first wife died during the siege of Jerusalem.This seems to contradict the explicit statements of Josephus himself.Vol. 9 of the LCL text and translation of Josephus contains an extensive "General Index" which supports the three-wife interpretation of Josephus.
