This book contains much information on experimental aspects of excitons: excitons in a variety of semiconductors, the effects of magnetic fields, optical properties, excitons bound to impurities, and even the role of excitons in materials technology. (This includes a section on the excitonic mechanism which has been suggested for superconductivity in metal–semiconductor junctions, which seems somewhat remote from technology at the present time.)
