Abstract

There are now more than one billion undernourished people worldwide, and almost all of them live in developing countries (FAO, 2009). This makes hunger and malnutrition the number one risk to global healthgreater than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined (http://www.wfp.org/hunger/faqs).
