Abstract

This monograph is based on a series of lectures given by the Soviet authors at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics in Trieste during 1966. As nonlinear theory has been a speciality of Soviet theorists the original lectures aroused much interest and this permanent record will be of considerable value.
