Abstract

ABSTRACT Throughout this paper the design, optimization and fabrication of a highly compact, improved multiband IFA (inverted‐F antenna) is presented. The proposed antenna design is poised to operate at 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 3.5, and 5 GHz for use in Bluetooth/WLAN, WiMAX, and Wi‐Fi applications. At those frequencies, the antenna exhibits good reflection and radiation characteristics. The antenna is highly compact measuring 20 mm (width) × 33 mm (length) × 0.635 mm (thickness).
