Quadrupoles in Electron Lens Design

Abstract

This book is the seventh supplement to the series Advances in Electronics and Electron Physics edited by L Marton and is concerned with the formation of electron optical images by means of quadrupoles and octupoles. Previous publications have tended to be introspective, treating these devices as ends in themselves or concentrating on the narrow requirements of particular systems such as particle accelerators.
