Abstract

The distinctive lesion profile of atypical scrapie in these five sheep highlights the diagnostic importance of routine histological evaluation of the cerebellum for evidence of neuropil vacuolation and associated PrP<sup>Sc</sup> deposition in adult sheep with suspected neurological disease.
