1.3μm fluoride fibre laser

Abstract

Laser action has been achieved in the 1.33–1.34μm range using an Nd3+-doped fluorozirconate glass multimode fibre. These operating wavelengths are the closest to the important telecommunications channel at 1.3μm of any reported for glass laser.
