Transmission of low phase noise, low phase drift millimeter-wavelength references by a stabilized fiber distribution system

Abstract

The transmission of a stable local oscillator (LO) reference for the Atacama large millimeter array is described and demonstrated. The LO reference distributes a high frequency, millimeter-wave signal with very low phase noise and phase drift.
