The diaphragm is better protected from oxidative stress than hindlimb skeletal muscle during CLP-induced sepsis

Abstract

These differences could be explained by higher basal enzymatic antioxidant activities in diaphragm compared to hindlimb skeletal muscles. Together, these results demonstrate that diaphragm is better protected from oxidative stress than hindlimb skeletal muscles during CLP-induced sepsis.
