<i>MPO</i> and <i>PRTN3</i> in neutrophils of AAV patients with active disease have a distinct pattern of histone modifications, which implicates epigenetic mechanisms in regulating expression of autoantigen genes and suggests that the epigenome may be involved in AAV pathogenesis.
