Diaphragmatic Dysfunction Is Characterized by Increased Duration of Mechanical Ventilation in Subjects With Prolonged Weaning

Abstract

Diaphragmatic dysfunction as assessed by B-mode ultrasonography is common in subjects with prolonged weaning. Subjects with such diaphragmatic dysfunction show longer mechanical ventilation durations and ICU stays.
