A compilation of redshifts and velocity dispersions for Abell clusters

Abstract

The authors present a list of redshifts for 578 Abell clusters, and velocity dispersions for 77, available as of 1986 July. This current listing supersedes the 1982 listings by Fetisova for 281 Abell clusters and by Sarazin, Rood, and Struble for 329. Also presented is another list of 16 Abell clusters with published redshifts which are very probably redshifts of foreground or background galaxies superposed on the Abell cluster.
